I spent some time with the adorable Fisher family this afternoon in Central Park. The weather seriously couldn’t have been lovelier this Labor Day weekend for my outdoor sessions, and for that I am very grateful! Here is a sneak peek of little Ariella, who completely charmed me:

You may recall that last year I posted some photos from my friend Kate’s fabulous one-woman show, The A**hole In My Head. On Monday, she reprised her show for a special one night only performance at the renowned Birdland in Manhattan, and I was thrilled to photograph the event for her. Kate is one of the most beautiful and talented women I know, and the show was a total triumph. I think A**hole needs to do a long-term run somewhere – what is this “one night only” thing?!

sneak peek: jeff & michelle’s e-session

I spent some time today with Jeff and Michelle, whose wedding I’ll be shooting next month in Manhattan, for a quick e-session in Stuyvesant Town. OK, so I know the LAST sneak peek I did of a couple session was of their legs and feet, too, but I can’t help repeating myself. What is it about these shots that I love so much? I don’t know! There is something whimsical about them. This was the very last shot we took today, and I just love love love it!

I’m so excited to share Brian & Kana’s photo shoot with you. Brian is one of the founders of RocketHub, a site very dear to my heart as it is the vehicle I used to fund my photography project in Paris earlier this year. He and his beautiful wife, Kana, bought a portrait session by fueling my project on RocketHub, and we finally had our session last weekend. They recently celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary and haven’t had any photos of themselves taken since they got married (in Hawaii!), so they decided it was time to have a session. They are soooo sweet together and so in love – you can just see it in their eyes in these pics.

Hi y’all! There has been a LOT going on around here this month, and I have plenty of things to share on the blog. Today, I just thought I would do a little round-up of things you can take a peek at while I get back to processing photos!

1. There has been lots going on in the Rue Boudoir studio, and you can take a virtual tour to see all of the improvements over on the Own Your Sexy blog.

2. Speaking of the Own Your Sexy blog, did you see the crazy hot sessions of Yvonne and Lena? I am assembling their albums today, and they’re just GORGEOUS!

3. This is a little belated, but there was the nicest write up about Laura Boyd Studio on the CitySlips blog a couple of weeks ago. It’s definitely worth a read! Check it out here.

4. Here is another great article, written by Lindsay Ferrier for Nashville Scene, that she wrote about her experience accompanying some friends to the boudoir studio for their sessions.

5. I’ve been hard at work on the photos from Paris and am now working on designing the calendar and coffee table book for my RocketHub investors. Have you stopped by the Facebook album and “liked” your favorites yet?? I’ll close with one of the fan favorites, just because it just doesn’t feel right to post a blog entry without ANY photos!

Trevor James has arrived! {new york city newborn portraits}

Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting this scrumptious little guy and his parents at their home in Manhattan for a newborn portrait session. Trevor was totally chilled out the whole time, mesmerized by the light. After his time in the spotlight, he conked out (because modeling is totally hard work) and I shot some candids of the new family.

That basinet is very special – it was made by Trevor’s grandmother with fabric from both her own and her mother’s wedding gowns. Soooo sweet.
